Apricot Immune Boost Shake

Summer has slipped away and the cold wintery nights are rolling in fast. Winter is beginning to take its toll on your immune system. This tasty, nutrient-filled super shake is designed to pack a healthy punch and serve as a fruity pick-me-up at the time of year that you need it most.

Our immune-boosting shake is an all-organic nutrient bomb that contains minimal sugar and artificial ingredients. Apricots are those beautifully orange coloured fruits full of beta-carotene and fibre. B Carotene is a natural tanner and fibre helps with weight management. The spinach in our shake contains nutrients important for everything from bone health to eyesight and the healthy fats in the flax seed also offer a myriad of benefits.

Apricots are one of the first signs of summer so we think they work wonderfully as a post-summer pick-me-up. Apricots are also a plentiful supply of Vitamin C. Vitamin C prompts the body to make collagen, an important protein that is responsible for radiant skin.

250ml water
10 dried apricot halves
1 fist of spinach
2 thumb-size portions of ground flax
1 cup plain Greek yoghurt or vegan alternative.


Add water, yoghurt, apricots and ground flax to a blender and blend on high for 1 minute.

Next add spinach to blender and blend again for 1 minute.

Add cinnamon if you need extra flavour.
