Beginner's Fitness Class

A careful and considerate exercise class designed for complete beginner's and those looking for a slow and cautious approach to exercise. Your 45 minute, low-impact class utilises Pilates-based movements to provide the ultimate beginner's introduction to exercise. You'll improve your posture, increase flexibility and build core control.

You'll perform a sequence of movements upon your exercise mat, carefully created to remove and prevent knee, hip and shoulder pain. Whether you're trying a fitness class for the very first time or you've already mastered some of the basics, our intelligent, science-based approach to fitness guarantees improvements in the way you look, move and feel.

Our boutique fitness classes are kept small to ensure your comfort whilst allowing your teacher to afford you the personal attention you need. We provide all of your exercise necessities including high-quality fitness mats, plush cotton face towels and cold water on tap.

Our beginner Pilates-based classes are intelligently designed for everybody, no matter what your age, abilities or body shape

Pilates is an exercise system designed to strengthen the body in an even way, with particular emphasis on core strength to improve general fitness and wellbeing. Pilates exercises are performed on a mat using a variety of props including blocks, straps, bands and balls, these tools can provide either resistance or support, depending on your individual needs.

Pilates was developed by German-born Joseph Pilates, who believed mental and physical health were closely connected.

This class is accessible to all and designed specifically for complete fitness beginners. The only requirement is that you're able to get down to your exercise mat and back up to a standing position a handful of times during the class.

Your classes are delivered in a safe and methodical manor, drawing on a number of exercise teachings and disciplines.

You'll be greeted by you teacher as you enter the studio, they'll explain everything you need to know about our facilities and the class itself. You will then be guided to your Pilates mat where you'll wait for the class to begin.

We wanted to keep the Pilates studio light and airy so we didn't include dedicated shower or changing facilities. Please arrive in your exercise attire ready for your class. (We do have a spacious toilet that can act as a changing room should you need it.)

We have everything you'll need for the ultimate exercise experience including Egyptian cotton face towels and cold water on tap, to keep you refreshed throughout your time in the studio.

We encourage our class attendees to wear their usual workout attire such as shorts/leggings and a sports top. You'll need to be able to move freely so please ensure your clothing is not restrictive.

The most important thing is that you feel comfortable, so wear what you feel comfortable in!

MOVE 45 is safe for those with existing aches and pains. We understand the effect various lifestyles and sports can have on your body and your teacher will work with you to minimise their impact during your class.

Many of our clients come to us with niggling aches and pains, the good news is they usually disappear as you begin training. Improvements we make to your posture and movement capacity will ensure they never return.

We like our teachers to be able to focus on delivering exceptional classes so, we don't accept payments inside the studio. We kindly ask you to book your class spot before you arrive, using our Online Booking Calendar
