An In-depth Look at Your Pilates Class

The Thame Fitness studio is hidden away in Thame Park Business Centre, a short walk from Thame High St. The surroundings are quiet and peaceful so you'll feel at ease as you arrive for your class. The studio is brightly lit outside with plenty of parking.

The Pilates space has been purposely designed with your comfort and enjoyment in mind. From the cushioned oak floor to the aromatherapy oil diffuser that gently fills the air.

Your Pilates teacher will greet you as you enter the studio, they'll tell you about our facilities and ask if you have any questions. We have lockers available for you to store your belongings and cold water on tap to keep you refreshed throughout your class. We have everything you'll need including quality Pilates mats and top-of-the-range Pilates equipment.

Your Pilates class is designed to strengthen your core muscles, enhance the way you move and reduce niggling aches and pains. You'll perform a sequence of exercises and movements designed to remove restrictions within your body and strengthen weak but important muscles that often get forgotten in popular fitness classes. Your experienced teacher will draw on a number of exercise disciplines and Pilates teachings. Every class is delivered in a safe and methodical manor.

Our boutique Pilates classes are smaller than the typical high street fitness class - we keep our classes smaller to ensure your teacher is able to provide you with the personal attention your body needs. Pilates is an exercise system designed to strengthen the body in an even way, with particular emphasis on core strength to improve general fitness and wellbeing. Pilates exercises are performed on a mat using a variety of props including blocks, straps, bands and balls, these tools can provide either resistance or support, depending on your individual needs.

Pilates was developed by German-born Joseph Pilates, who believed mental and physical health were closely connected.

Our Pilates classes are delivered in a safe and methodical manor, drawing on a number of Pilates teachings and disciplines

You'll be greeted by your Pilates teacher as you enter the studio, they'll explain everything you need to know about our facilities and the class itself. You will then be guided to your Pilates mat where you'll wait for the class to begin.

We have every you'll need for the ultimate Pilates experience. All you need to bring with you is a water bottle.

We wanted to keep the Pilates studio light and airy so we didn't include dedicated shower or changing facilities. Please arrive in your Pilates attire ready for your class. (We do have a spacious toilet that can act as a changing room should you need it.)

We have everything you'll need for the ultimate Pilates experience including fresh cotton towels and cold water on tap to keep you refreshed throughout your time in the studio.

We encourage our class attendees to wear their usual workout attire such as shorts/leggings and a sports top. You'll need to be able to move freely so please ensure your clothing is not restrictive.

The most important thing is that you feel comfortable, so wear what you feel comfortable in!

Pilates is safe for those with existing aches and pains. We understand the effect various lifestyles and sports can have on your body and you Pilates teacher will work with you to minimize their impact during your class.

Many of our clients come to us with niggling aches and pains, the good news is they usually disappear as you begin training. Improvements we make to your posture and movement capacity will ensure they never return.
